About CPhT 

The Pharmacy Technician Program is designed to works closely with a pharmacist to ensure the health and safety of their patients. They locate, dispense, pack, and label a prescribed medication for a patient that is then reviewed for accuracy by a pharmacist before dispensed to the patient. They might also help pharmacists with administrative tasks such as processing insurance claims, tracking inventory, and filing paperwork.

Duties of A CPhT

  • Manage inventory

  • Package prescriptions which are then reviewed by a Pharmacist for accuracy before being dispensed to the patient

  • Accurately measure medication amounts which are then reviewed by a Pharmacist for accuracy

  • Establish and maintain patient records

  • Accept payment for prescriptions and process insurance claims
